The update also fits into a recent pattern. Trisha also shared a photo recap from what she called her "Magical May". The carousel included birthday moments, flowers, selfies, quiet personal snapshots and more pictures of her dog, Izzy. She wrote, "A few more from Magical May I'll be smiling about for a long time to come (sic)."

More about Vijay and Trisha

Vijay married Sangeeta Sornalingam in the UK in 1998 and in India in 1999. They have two children, Jason Sanjay and Divya Saasha.

Trisha was engaged to businessman Varun Manian in 2015, but they called it off later that year.

Earlier this year, reports claimed that Sangeeta had filed for divorce after nearly three decades of marriage, alleging that Vijay was having an affair with an unnamed actor. The speculation grew further after Vijay and Trisha attended a wedding reception in Chennai in March in matching gold-hued outfits.

More recently, Trisha was seen getting emotional and waving at fans during Vijay's oath-taking ceremony, which she attended with her mother, Uma Krishnan. She was later seen leaving Vijay's Chennai residence after a visit to Tirumala, smiling at photographers and giving a thumbs-up.

She also accompanied Vijay when he visited actor Ajith Kumar's family to offer condolences after his mother's death. Even so, neither Vijay nor Trisha has addressed the rumours in public.

Professional commitments

On the work front, Trisha was most recently seen in Karuppu, directed by RJ Balaji and also featuring Suriya in the lead role. The film opened to mixed-to-positive reviews from critics and audiences and has emerged as the highest-grossing Tamil film of 2026 so far. It has collected more than 180 crore in India and is moving closer to 300 crore worldwide.

She will next be seen in Vishwambhara, directed by Mallidi Vassishta. The film stars Chiranjeevi in the lead role, along with Ashika Ranganath, Kunal Kapoor and Surbhi Puranik. The release date is yet to be announced.
