New Car Launches June 2026 – Tata, Honda, BYD, Merc, BMW, Skoda, Mini

New electric car launches in June 2026Sierra EV – This year, Tata will be launching the Sierra EV and Safari EV. As compared to the ICE version, Sierra EV will have a distinct front fascia. Both RWD and AWD options will be available with Sierra EV. Sierra EV will take on rivals such as Mahindra BE 6, Hyundai Creta Electric, Maruti eVitara, Toyota Ebella and MG ZS EV. BMW X6 M60i will be equipped with a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 mild-hybrid petrol engine.

This month, new car launches include a good mix of ICE, hybrid and pure electric models

Car buyers can look forward to some exciting new launches in June 2026. The options seem just as good as in May, when cars like Honda City facelift and Tiago / EV facelifts were launched. We also witnessed the launch of MG’s new flagship Majestor, BMW M440i Convertible, and special editions of Mercedes GLE and GLS and Mini Cooper S. In June 2026, brands in focus include BMW, Mercedes-Benz, BYD, Honda and Tata.

Sierra EV – This year, Tata will be launching the Sierra EV and Safari EV. Sierra EV is expected first, in June 2026. As compared to the ICE version, Sierra EV will have a distinct front fascia. Key highlights include a closed-off grille and updated bumper design. Both RWD and AWD options will be available with Sierra EV. Real-world range could be more than 500 km. Sierra EV will take on rivals such as Mahindra BE 6, Hyundai Creta Electric, Maruti eVitara, Toyota Ebella and MG ZS EV.

New hybrid car launches in June 2026

BYD PHEV – As part of its plan to expand its India portfolio, BYD will be launching its first PHEV model here. Launch is scheduled for 9th June 2026. The exact model is not officially confirmed, but it could be either Atto 2 DM-i or Sealion 6 DM-i.

Across global markets, the Atto 2 PHEV utilizes a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine in combination with either a 7.8 kWh or an 18 kWh battery pack. The combined range is 928 km and 998 km, respectively. Sealion 6 has engine choices of a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and 1.5-litre turbo-petrol. Battery pack options for Sealion 6 include 18.3 kWh and 26.6 kWh. Best combined range is up to 1,092 km.

Honda ZR-V – This was unveiled last month and prices are expected to be announced in June 2026. Honda ZR-V will be imported into India via the CBU route. The SUV has a strong hybrid powertrain, comprising a 141 PS 2.0-litre petrol engine. Combined power output with the electric motor is 184 PS. Deliveries of Honda ZR-V are planned to commence from July 2026.

Mercedes-Benz S-Class facelift – Mercedes had unveiled the new S-Class facelift for global markets earlier this year in January. It will be launched in India on 15th June 2026. It is expected that the PHEV variant will be launched first. A petrol variant could be introduced at a later date. The hybrid variant utilizes a 3.0-litre turbo-petrol inline six engine and an electric motor. This setup delivers 435 PS and 680 Nm. Equipped with a 22 kWh battery pack, the S-Class hybrid offers a pure electric range of around 100 km.

New ICE/mild hybrid car launches in June 2026

Skoda Kodiaq RS – To be imported as a CBU, the Skoda Kodiaq RS will be the brand’s first RS badge SUV for the Indian market. Across international markets, the Kodiaq RS is equipped with a retuned 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. It generates 265 PS and 400 Nm of torque and is paired with a 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission. Skoda Kodiaq RS has all-wheel drive (4×4 / 4Motion) with torque vectoring as standard.

BMW X6 M60i – This is expected in June 2026, although the exact launch date has not been revealed. BMW X6 M60i will be equipped with a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 mild-hybrid petrol engine. It generates 523 PS and 750 Nm of torque and is paired with an 8-speed AT transmission. BMW X6 M60i has an AWD setup. It can achieve 0-100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited at 250 km/h.

Mini Countryman C – This will be the first Countryman model that will be locally produced. Mini already offers the Countryman Electric and Countryman JCW All4 in India. Countryman C is expected to use a 1.5-litre 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, generating around 136 PS and 230 Nm. The subcompact premium crossover SUV has FWD and is expected to get a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
