As always, Honda has been taking it nice and slow in India. The brand updated the City a few months ago, and our sources have now confirmed that another existing Honda model is set for an update. It seems like Honda is updating its current model portfolio before bringing in any new models. So, here’s a look at what we can expect from Honda’s updated rival to the Hyundai Creta.

2026 Honda Elevate: What To Expect?

Honda launched the Elevate in India in September 2023. Since then, it has not received a proper mid-cycle update. This one could be it. Expect Honda to revise the mid-size SUV’s styling to make it a bit more modern and dynamic. The current styling hasn’t been its strongest suit.

To make this happen, we expect the SUV’s front and rear design to change substantially – bumpers, LED lighting, and the front grille are all expected to be updated. The only major change to the side profile could be a new set of 17-inch alloy wheels.

More Features Incoming?

The Elevate’s cabin has been one of its strong suits – a clutter-free dashboard, ample physical buttons and switches, comfortable leather-wrapped seats, and plenty of space. So we don’t expect any major changes here. The only scope for improvement is adding premium features missing so far, such as ventilated front seats (introduced on the City facelift), a powered co-driver’s seat, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, and rear sunblinds. Currently, a 360-degree camera is available on the Elevate as a dealer-fitted accessory. It could be added as a standard feature on the updated model.

Elevate Hybrid Launch Confirmed?

The engine. This is where Honda has the opportunity to really ‘Elevate’ its SUV. While we don’t expect any change to the SUV’s current 1.5-litre four-cylinder NA petrol powertrain (available with a 6 MT and CVT), we really hope Honda introduces the City’s 1.5-litre strong-hybrid powertrain on the Elevate this time. Given the growing consumer interest in hybrids, it’s the perfect opportunity for Honda to launch the Elevate Hybrid. However, nothing is confirmed so far.

When Is The 2026 Elevate Launching?

Honda has sent out invites for an upcoming event in the first week of October. So, we expect the 2026 Honda Elevate to debut then. Currently, the Honda Elevate is priced between Rs. 14.12 lakh and Rs. 20.19 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). Since this is a highly competitive segment and its chief rival, the Hyundai Creta, already has a lower starting price, we expect a price increase of about Rs. 50,000, depending on the variant.
