Aizawl, Sep 10 (UNI) Mizoram has the highest HIV/AIDS prevalence rate among Indian states at 2.85%, with 34,745 HIV-positive cases detected between October 1990 and June 2026, according to data presented by the Mizoram State AIDS Control Society (MSACS).
The figures were presented at a meeting of the Mizoram Legislative Forum on HIV/AIDS held here on Thursday.
The meeting also reviewed the state's progress under the National AIDS Control Organisation's (NACO) Mobilization for AIDS Suraksha (MAS) campaign.
