Jesus on signing for Barca
A week ago I received the message that it could happen. I was very happy and everything went well. When I started to think that it could come true, I was very excited and happy. I’m really looking forward to training and playing.
It wasn’t just me; Barça made a huge effort to make this signing happen. Yes, I took a big pay cut, but for me, this is a dream. It’s more than that. If you’d asked me a month ago, this opportunity would have been very difficult. At 29 years old, and after everything that’s happened these past two years, having the chance to play for Barça is only thanks to God. I’m thrilled and I always want to help. When I found out I could come here, I knew I wanted to play for Barça.

I spoke with Rapha when everything was already done. It all happened very quickly. He wrote to me and I spoke with him. I also spoke with Cancelo, who is a very good friend of mine. I know Rodri and Eric from Manchester City. I spoke with everyone. Only good things about the dressing room.
Jesus on being Plan B to Alvarez
