Srinagar, Aug 25: Security forces have apprehended two suspects and recovered a pistol, 12 rounds and a hand grenade during a search operation in the general Yarwan forest area of Pulwama district, officials said.
According to officials, during the search operation, two individuals were noticed approaching CB Nath village from the forest area in a suspicious manner.

The operation was launched during the intervening night of August 24 and 25 by a joint team of J&K Police, Army’s 44 Rashtriya Rifles and 183 CRPF in the forest area near CB Nath village in Rajpora.
According to officials, during the search operation, two individuals were noticed approaching CB Nath village from the forest area in a suspicious manner.
The suspects were identified as Latif Ahmed Deedad, son of Gh Mohammad Deedad, resident of Lassi Daban, and Aejaz Ahmed Bajad, son of Nazir Ahmed Bajad, resident of Bun Kha Bamnoo.

The two were apprehended by the joint team, officials said.
A search of their possession led to the recovery of one pistol, 12 pistol rounds and one hand grenade, officials said. Both suspects, along with the recovered arms and ammunition, have been taken into custody for further investigation.
The search operation in the area is continuing.
