The murder of Jaipur resident Neeraj Sharma, allegedly orchestrated by her daughter Ayushi Sharma, has taken a fresh turn.While Ayushi is already under arrest in connection with her mother's death, police are now examining allegations that she may have played a role in her father Vijay Sharma's death as well.Police arrested 23-year-old Ayushi Sharma for allegedly conspiring to murder her mother, Neeraj Sharma.
When relatives arrived at the hospital, doctors allegedly told them that about 90% of his body had sustained severe damage.
Police said she cited long-standing hatred and family disputes over property-related issues as the motive behind the alleged murder.
Investigators also described her as legally aware and said psychologists would assist in her interrogation.According to Deputy Commissioner of Police Ranjita Sharma, Balram remains absconding and efforts to arrest him are on.
She has also confirmed that the allegations surrounding Vijay's death will be examined, and the findings of the fresh investigation will determine whether additional charges are filed or a separate case is registered.

She reportedly killed her mother with the help of her cousin Balram alias Ravi, who is currently absconding.Neeraj, a lower division clerk (LDC), was killed on July 3 in Jaipur's Pratap Nagar area when a Scorpio ran over her in an attempt to make the killing appear to be a road accident. Seven people have been arrested in the case, while efforts are underway to trace Balram, India Today reported.According to police, nearly ₹7 lakh was allegedly paid to carry out the killing, Brut reported.The investigation has now expanded after Ayushi's maternal uncle, Rakesh Sharma, alleged that her father Vijay Sharma's death in April 2025 was not natural. Rakesh has approached both the police and a court seeking a detailed investigation, as part of a larger conspiracy connected to family property and a government job.Rakesh also alleged that Ayushi later informed them that his father had been admitted to Nivik Hospital in Jaipur. When relatives arrived at the hospital, doctors allegedly told them that about 90% of his body had sustained severe damage. According to the complaint, Ayushi subsequently brought Vijay back home, where he later died.As per the India Today report, Ayushi expressed her intention to seek her father's government job and demanded that the family's assets be transferred to her name.Rakesh also alleged that she had once threatened her mother, saying that if her father could be killed by removing his feeding tube, killing her would be even easier. The family has also alleged that Ayushi concealed details about Vijay Sharma's treatment after he suffered a brain haemorrhage in 2024.During questioning, she allegedly told investigators that she had resented her mother for years, claiming she received less affection than her differently-abled brother.
