New Delhi: Indian agencies got three fugitive Indian gangsters apprehended in Malaysia, deported them, and sent them to police custody, Union home minister Amit Shah said in a post on X.The fugitives - Jaspreet Singh, Ajay Singh and Pawandeep Singh - are linked to Bambiha gang and are accused of multiple crimes, including extortion, cross-border arms and narco-trafficking and a foiled grenade attack in Ludhiana. They allegedly also had links with terror operations and anti-national groups.Jaspreet Singh, a prime conduit of the Bambiha gang, was continuously in touch with the kingpins of the syndicate: Lucky Patiyal, Mann Ghanashyampuria and Doni Bal, said sources at investigative agencies. Closely linked to criminal entities in Canada, he had planned a grenade attack in October 2025 at a marketplace in Ludhiana, which was foiled by Punjab Police . A case was registered against him at Jodhewal police station in Ludhiana.Multiple criminal cases are registered against these three under sections of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, Indian Penal Code, Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act in Punjab and Rajasthan.
