Hero MotoCorp emerged as the largest two-wheeler OEM in April 2026 with 5,32,433 units sold.
It also saw a 5.3% MoM decline, as sales fell from 5,12,303 units in March 2026.
Its market share improved from 3.21% to 3.63%, although MoM sales declined 11.6%.
Ather recorded 22,832 units, up 67.1% YoY, but sales fell sharply by 25.6% MoM from March 2026.
Triumph posted the highest YoY growth in the table at 279.5%, with sales rising to 148 units from 39 units last year.
Hero MotoCorp emerged as the largest two-wheeler OEM in April 2026 with 5,32,433 units sold. The brand posted a strong 84.5% YoY growth, compared to 2,88,524 units in April 2025. Hero also gained the most market share among major OEMs. Its share improved from 19.78% in April 2025 to 28.43% in April 2026, a gain of 8.65 percentage points. However, on a MoM basis, Hero’s sales declined by 3.6% from March 2026.
Honda secured the second position with 4,84,972 units in April 2026. The company grew 14.7% YoY over April 2025, when it sold 4,22,931 units. However, Honda’s market share declined from 28.99% to 25.90%, a drop of 3.09 percentage points. It also saw a 5.3% MoM decline, as sales fell from 5,12,303 units in March 2026.
TVS Motor Company sold 3,48,545 units in April 2026, up 7.7% YoY from 3,23,647 units in April 2025. Despite growth in volumes, TVS lost market share, with its share dropping from 22.19% to 18.61%. On a sequential basis, TVS sales declined 6.4% compared to March 2026.
Bajaj Auto ranked fourth with 2,10,063 units sold in April 2026. The company recorded 11.4% YoY growth, but its market share fell from 12.93% to 11.22%. Bajaj also saw a 5.0% MoM decline compared to March 2026, when it sold 2,21,021 units.
Royal Enfield was one of the stronger performers in April 2026. The brand sold 1,04,129 units, growing 37.0% YoY over April 2025. It also posted 3.7% MoM growth, making it one of the few OEMs to grow sequentially in April. Royal Enfield’s market share improved slightly from 5.21% to 5.56%.
Yamaha sold 67,988 units in April 2026, registering a strong 45.2% YoY growth. Its market share improved from 3.21% to 3.63%, although MoM sales declined 11.6%.
