Spy images indicate that Triumph has developed a new chassis and swingarm for the Bonneville 400.
The Bonneville 400 is noticeably larger and more substantial than other Triumph 400 models.
The Bonneville 400 gets telescopic front forks, twin rear shock absorbers and wire-spoke wheels, rather than the USD forks, monoshock, and alloy wheels used on the other 400 models.

The Triumph Bonneville 400 has been spotted testing in India yet again, suggesting that the motorcycle is now in the final stages of development. The latest test mule appears close to production, with the launch expected sooner than previously anticipated.
The latest sighting also comes at a time when Triumph appears to have started the marketing campaign around the upcoming Bonneville 400. The company recently shared a post on its Instagram account highlighting the iconic fuel tank design of the Bonneville family.
Spy images indicate that Triumph has developed a new chassis and swingarm for the Bonneville 400. The rear subframe has also been redesigned to accommodate a flatter, bench-style seat, and longer tail section, giving the bike the proportions of the larger Bonneville models.
The Bonneville 400 is noticeably larger and more substantial than other Triumph 400 models. It gets a larger fuel tank, elongated side panels and chunky front and rear mudguards. The motorcycle will also feature a peashooter-style exhaust, along with chrome detailing on the engine covers, rear grab rail and exhaust to lend it the period-correct classic visual appeal.
Power will come from Triumph’s 349cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine used across its latest India-spec 400 range. However, the Bonneville 400 is expected to get a different state of tune, with the focus likely to be on stronger low- and mid-range performance and a relaxed riding character.
Triumph has also equipped the bike with conventional hardware to complement the motorcycle’s classic styling. The Bonneville 400 gets telescopic front forks, twin rear shock absorbers and wire-spoke wheels, rather than the USD forks, monoshock, and alloy wheels used on the other 400 models.
Triumph is yet to announce an official launch date for the Bonneville, and the motorcycle should arrive in India around the festive season.
