Telangana Woman Dies in Road Accident in US

Hyderabad: A 31-year-old woman from Maripeda in Mahabubabad district, Dharam Supriya, died in a road accident in St Louis, USA, leaving her family and relatives in grief. According to reports, an unidentified vehicle allegedly hit the two persons, killing them on the spot. RTC Driver, Conductor Attacked With Eggs, Stones in GurajalaPalnadu: An RTC bus driver and conductor were allegedly attacked by a group of people in Gurajala of Palnadu district. According to reports, the bus was travelling towards Macherla when a woman requested the driver to stop at Madugula X Roads. When conductor Somaiah got down from the bus to move the bikes, the group allegedly attacked him.

Hyderabad: A 31-year-old woman from Maripeda in Mahabubabad district, Dharam Supriya, died in a road accident in St Louis, USA, leaving her family and relatives in grief.

Supriya was running a restaurant in St Louis. On Saturday night, according to Indian Standard Time, she was returning home by car with a friend after closing the restaurant when a truck rammed into their vehicle. Supriya died on the spot, while her friend reportedly suffered serious injuries.

Supriya is survived by her husband, Kodumuri Ranjith, and their son, who are currently in the US, family members said. Her relatives and friends in Maripeda were plunged into grief following her death.

Her in-laws, Kodumuri Venkateshwarlu and Radhika, reside at Veerabhadra Apartments in Mahabubabad. Her parents have settled in Khammam.

Family members said efforts were underway to bring Supriya’s mortal remains to Khammam.

Two Killed in Hit-and-Run Accident in Siddipet District

Koheda: Two persons were killed in a road accident on the Rajiv Rahadari near Shankar Nagar of Shanigaram village in Koheda mandal of Siddipet district in the early hours of Sunday. According to reports, an unidentified vehicle allegedly hit the two persons, killing them on the spot.

The vehicle involved in the accident fled the scene. Police reached the spot and shifted the bodies to the Government Hospital in Husnabad for post-mortem examination. The identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained. Police have launched an investigation to identify the victims and trace the vehicle involved in the accident.

Guntur: Electric Bus Gutted in Fire at Pedakakani

Guntur: An electric bus was completely gutted after a fire broke out in Pedakakani of Guntur district on Sunday. According to reports, passengers on board noticed flames coming from the bus and immediately got off.

Within a short time, the fire spread rapidly, completely engulfing the vehicle. Preliminary reports suggest that a short circuit may have caused the fire. However, the exact cause of the incident is yet to be ascertained. Police reached the spot and launched an investigation into the incident.

Tirupati: Alipiri Police Bust Prostitution Racket in Residential Area

Tirumala: Alipiri police busted an alleged prostitution racket being operated from a residence in Sri Adishesha Reddy Nagar, Tirupati.

Acting on specific information, police raided the residence and found three women allegedly involved in the racket. Two of the women were from Assam, while the third was from Bengaluru.

The women were rescued and shifted to a rescue home. Police registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.

The accused persons were taken into custody for questioning. Police are investigating the case from various angles to gather more details about the alleged racket and identify others who may be involved.

RTC Driver, Conductor Attacked With Eggs, Stones in Gurajala

Palnadu: An RTC bus driver and conductor were allegedly attacked by a group of people in Gurajala of Palnadu district.

According to reports, the bus was travelling towards Macherla when a woman requested the driver to stop at Madugula X Roads. As the bus was an express service, the driver stopped only at the designated bus stop.

Later, while the bus was returning from Macherla, the woman and some of her family members allegedly intercepted the vehicle. Some men stopped the bus by placing their bikes across the road.

When conductor Somaiah got down from the bus to move the bikes, the group allegedly attacked him. The driver was also attacked, with the accused allegedly throwing eggs and stones at the RTC staff.

Based on a complaint lodged by conductor Somaiah, Gurajala police registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
