Stock Market Highlights on Tuesday, Sept 29, 2026: The benchmark indices ended lower for the second day in a row as high oil prices and volatility in global bond yields fuelled risk-off sentiment.
The Sensex fell 242.65 points or 0.33 per cent to 72,529.07 and the Nifty50 was down 64.05 points or 0.28 per cent at 22,716.20.
Titan Company, Wipro India, and HCLTech were the top losers in the Nifty50 index.
In the broader markets, the Nifty MidCap and the Nifty SmallCap fell 0.99 per cent and 0.81 per cent, respectively.
Sector-wise, the Nifty Consumer Durables, Nifty Chemical, Nifty Realy, and Nifty IT declined the most, while the Nifty Pharma and Nifty Healthcare outperformed.
