Skoda Kushaq Vs Volkswagen Taigun – Base Variants
The biggest differences lie in the base trims for both these SUVs. While Skoda has loaded its base Classic+ trim with features, the Taigun is quite bare-bones. The Kushaq offers the following features over the Taigun –
Electric sunroof
16-inch alloys
Front Fog lamps (Taigun doesn’t offer it even on the top variants)
Auto-dimming IRVM
Cruise control (AT only)
These features are usually offered on mid- to top-end variants, and Skoda is offering them from the base model itself. But more importantly, the Kushaq gets the 8-speed torque-converter gearbox from the base trim itself.

Top Variants
Both cars are offered with the same 1.5-litre TSI engine and a 7-speed DSG on the top trim. Even the feature lists are nearly identical, as both offer the same-size infotainment screen, a digital driver display, and other comfort features like ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, and a wireless charger.

However, the Kushaq gets 2 key additions over the Taigun – rear massaging seats and front fog lamps. If you buy the Kushaq, you will pay less while still enjoying these amenities.

Skoda Kushaq Vs Volkswagen Taigun – Pricing

If you are going for the Taigun, you are paying this premium for the coveted Volkswagen badge.
Importantly, because the AT gearbox is offered on the base variant, the AT range starts almost Rs 1 lakh lower for the Kushaq. All in all, the Kushaq seems the better pick between the two.
