The Sennheiser MOMENTUM True Wireless 5 was unveiled globally on August 20, 2026, and it goes after a problem every premium earbud owner eventually runs into: the battery wears out long before the sound does.

Sennheiser’s fix is simple on paper. Both the earbuds and the charging case now use battery cells you can swap yourself in a few minutes, using a small screwdriver that ships in the box.

Pair that with a redesigned body, Bluetooth 6.0, and Dolby Atmos support, and this becomes the most ambitious update to the MOMENTUM True Wireless line since it first launched back in 2018.
