Sushil Prajapati, the Ghaziabad unit chief of Hindu Yuva Vahini, received a grand welcome from supporters after being released on bail following eight months in jail in a rape case.
Videos that surfaced on social media showed Prajapati being greeted with multiple flower garlands and carried on the shoulders of supporters during a celebratory procession. Hundreds of supporters reportedly took part in the procession organised after his release.

Prajapati was arrested after an LLB student accused him of sexual assault last year. According to the complaint, he allegedly took the woman to a flat on the pretext of introducing her to a senior advocate, where he sexually assaulted her.
