Toyota is planning to update its spacious 7-seater MPV, the Innova Hycross. The 7-seater has been spotted testing quite a few times now, revealing several updates. Here’s what we expect from the upcoming updated Toyota Innova.

New Toyota Innova Launching Soon: New Design

The spotted test mules of the updated Innova reveal that it might get a cosmetic makeover. Expect the model to get a new honeycomb patterned grille (like the new Hilux), redesigned headlamps and taillamps, revised bumpers at both ends, and a new set of alloy wheels. The exact design details have not been revealed as the spotted test mules have been completely camouflaged.

New Features

Along with the exterior changes, expect the interiors to be upgraded. Changes on the inside could include a new 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a new steering wheel design, and more ADAS features, among others. Features like the 360-degree camera, powered front seats with ventilation and memory functions, wireless charging, and a JBL sound system will carry over from the current model.

Apart from the feature updates, Toyota could also possibly revise the dashboard layout and offer a new interior theme.

Powertrain

Under the hood, the Innova Hycross is expected to be powered by the same 2.0-litre NA petrol engine and the 2.0-litre petrol-hybrid engine options, like the outgoing model. Transmission duties will be handled by a CVT gearbox option for NA petrol, and an eCVT gearbox for the hybrid engine.

Expected Launch Timeline

Toyota has not yet revealed the launch timeline of this updated Innova Hycross. However, with the constant spotting of the test mules, we expect the updated Innova Hycross to launch by the end of 2026 or early 2027.

Expected Price

With the update, the Toyota Innova could see a price hike. At present, this 7-seater Toyota is priced between Rs. 23.62 lakh – Rs. 40.13 lakh (on-road, Mumbai), and with the update, it could see a price increase between Rs. 75,000 and Rs. 1 lakh, depending on the variant.
