Maruti plans to launch a new seven-seater electric model in India. Codenamed YMC, the new seven-seater will sit above the eVitara in Maruti’s lineup. As the first three-row electric model, it is expected to be feature-loaded and a comfortable MPV. Here’s everything you need to know about the model.

New Maruti 7-Seater Coming To India

Heavily based on the e Vitara SUV, Maruti’s upcoming seven-seater electric car is expected to carry over most elements from its sibling. Maruti could use a similar design language to the e Vitara on this seven-seater.

We have already revealed the interiors, which match the e Vitara’s theme – the dashboard flaunts a dual-touchscreen unit for infotainment and instrumentation. From there, we can expect the MPV to offer other e Vitara features. So, it could boast features including a 10.1-inch infotainment unit, a 10.25-inch instrument cluster, powered and ventilated front seats, a panoramic glass roof, a wireless charging pad, sliding and reclining rear seats, level 2 ADAS, seven airbags, and an 8-speaker Infinity premium sound system.

The battery packs are also expected to carry over from the eVitara SUV. So, we can expect 49 kWh and 61 kWh battery packs. However, its added length and weight could affect the total range.

Expected Launch & Pricing

Maruti has not yet announced the exact launch timeline of the new seven-seater SUV. However, we can expect the SUV to launch sometime between early and mid-2027. On pricing, this Maruti SUV could be priced between Rs 20 lakh and Rs 27 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
