What happened in the video

Dharna Durga, who has 1.8 million followers on Instagram and is set to make her Bollywood debut with Maa Behen, was seen standing with Madhuri and Triptii as cameras rolled. After filming the three of them for a few seconds, paparazzi asked for a frame with only Madhuri and Triptii.

They did not address Dharna directly. Instead, they asked Madhuri if they could get only her and Triptii in the frame. Madhuri remained silent, and Dharna quietly moved aside.

Backlash over inaction

Soon after the video surfaced online, social media users reacted strongly. One Instagram user commented, "Didn't like how Madhuri and Triptii didn't take her stand! (sic)" Another wrote, "Not the paparazzi because by now everyone knows how they work. But the other two women not taking a stand for her. That’s the shocking bit.. Boooooooooo Madhuri’s face says it loudly that she wants a solo or just with Tripti and not with Dharna!! (sic)"

A third user commented, "If a junior actor has worked equally hard in a project, they deserve equal respect and acknowledgement too. Staying silent while someone is being sidelined is not professionalism or grace. Real stars uplift others instead of taking all the limelight for themselves. Hope influencers and senior actors remember that support and kindness matter just as much as fame @madhuridixitnene @dharnaaaaa (sic)."
