Deliveries of the Keeway Hypevolt-R are expected to begin shortly through the brand's dealership network across India.

Keeway India, a part of the Adishwar Auto Ride group, has launched the new Hypevolt-R electric scooter at an introductory ex-showroom price of Rs. 1.99 lakh. The scooter marks the brand's entry into India's premium electric scooter segment and is available in Crystal White and Platinum Grey. Bookings are open for Rs. 5,000.
The Hypevolt-R is powered by a mid-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor that produces 12kW of peak power. Keeway claims a 0-40kmph sprint time of 2.3 seconds and a top speed of 115kmph. It gets three ride modes – Eco, Normal and Sport. Powering the scooter is a 5kWh removable battery pack with a claimed IDC-certified range of 180km. The batteries can be charged on or off the scooter, while in-vehicle charging takes around three hours to bring it from zero to 80 per cent.
The hardware package includes telescopic front forks, a five-step adjustable rear suspension, and 14-inch alloy wheels. The Hypevolt-R is handsomely equipped in terms of technology. There is dual-channel ABS, traction control, hill hold control, hill descent control, cruise control, blind spot detection, and a rear reverse camera. Other features include projector LED headlamps, a 5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, reverse mode, a 27-litre under-seat storage compartment, and USB type-A and type-C charging ports.
