Students pursuing a full-time Graduate/Post Graduate Degree or higher degree from a recognized institute in India or abroad in the following fields can apply:

For internships at FSSAI laboratories, only technically qualified candidates will be eligible.

The area mentioned in the application will be treated as an indicative preference and will not confirm project allocation to a specific department.
Internship Duration
The internship is offered on a quarterly basis throughout the year.
Minimum duration: 2 months
Maximum duration: 6 months
Internships of less than 2 months will not be offered.
Working Space and Facilities
Interns are required to have their own laptops.
FSSAI will provide:

Internet facility
Other necessities
FSSAI will not cover local lodging and travel facilities and will not bear boarding expenses.
Application Process
Interested and eligible students can apply online in the specified format within the prescribed timeline.
Candidates who applied for a particular quarter but were not selected must apply again for the next quarter.
Applicants may be required to submit a short write-up/presentation through the application portal for final selection.
All applications will be scrutinized by the concerned Nodal Officers nominated for internship.

The final list of selected candidates, along with their date of joining and internship tenure, will be declared online on the FSSAI website.
Documents Required at the Time of Joining
At the time of joining, interns are required to carry:
Letter from their institute indicating their status as a student
No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the institute permitting the internship for the selected period
from the institute permitting the internship for the selected period Character certificate from the institute authority
Proof of educational qualifications mentioned in the application form
Since the internship scheme is scheduled quarterly throughout the year, requests for an extension of joining time of more than one week will not be accepted.
Internship Assignments
Interns will be attached to one of the several Divisions at FSSAI Headquarters, Regional Offices or Laboratories, depending on their academic and technical training.
They will be assigned projects related to different aspects of Food and Nutrition Management Processes.
Stipend
A stipend of ₹10,000 for the whole internship period will be provided to deserving interns on the recommendation of the Office/Division to which they are attached.
The criteria for deserving interns will be based on:
Attendance
Assessment by respective reporting officers
Evaluation of reports by Divisional Heads at FSSAI (HQ) and Directors at ROs/NFLs
Certificate
All interns will be awarded a certificate upon successful completion of the internship.
The certificate will be issued after submission and review of the final report/presentation by the respective:
Divisional Heads at FSSAI (HQ)
Director at ROs/NFLs
