X user @GTAGolden_ did not reveal where they found the file, although it is reportedly circulating across various torrent sites.
However, another X user, @Aidas29506493, said they had “done some reverse engineering” of the file and concluded that it was “fully fake and full of viruses.” Further analysis by internet sleuths reportedly suggests that the massive ISO is largely made up of junk data, along with a 50KB virus. The leaker, known as Cyberleek, has released gameplay clips and the game’s Leonidas map in protest against Rockstar’s digital pre-order plans, threatening to continue unless the publisher issues a public apology and promises “to be better.” Take-Two has begun efforts to identify the leaker, but the releases have continued.
