New Mahindra SUV – BE 07
While EVs weren’t really the first choice for many Indian buyers, Mahindra seems to have changed that mindset quite well. This is evident by the fact that every time we get on the road, we have always spotted a Mahindra BEV, signalling towards the growth in Mahindra EV adoption. And now, Mahindra is working on another electric SUV, called the BE 07, which will eventually sit above the existing BE 6. While the XEV 9e and the XEV 9S are more subtle and understated, the BE 6 has always been quite a striking SUV, and with the Batman and F1 editions, it is quite the sporty and sharp SUV.
And the upcoming BE 07 will likely follow the design language, but in a slightly subtle manner. The BE 07 was spotted testing previously with hefty camouflage. However, the angular front and rear windscreen and the overall silhouette of the SUV led us to believe that this could be the BE 07. Mahindra has previously showcased the BE 07 concept, and it is quite a bold SUV, but the design isn’t as polarising as the BE 6. Bear in mind, the BE 07 will be a larger SUV, which could take on the likes of the Tata Harrier.ev and the Vinfast VF7. That said, let’s take a look at what the SUV will have to offer!

Design And Features
As we mentioned, the BE 07 will be slightly more understated than the BE 6 while still having a bold and striking design. The concept gets C-shaped LED DRLs and taillights, similar to the ones on the BE 6. A spy shot of this SUV was previously spotted, and the design of the SUV was slightly toned down when compared to the concept. The XEV 9e is a coupe SUV, which may not be to everyone’s liking, and the BE 6 has quite an aggressive design. So, the BE 07 would set the perfect middle ground. That said, we believe that the BE 07 will be a handsome SUV and will be the least polarising of the Mahindra BEVs.

Stepping inside, we believe that Mahindra will continue to offer the same sporty cockpit-style design, which is more driver-centric. The wrap-around centre console, roof-mounted toggle switches, and the materials will likely be similar to the BE 6, adding to the sporty character of the SUV. However, we believe it will get the larger triple-screen setup from the XEV 9e. Other expected features include Level 2+ ADAS, a panoramic glass roof, powered and ventilated front seats, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system and the list goes on. That said, let’s take a look at the powertrain options!

Mahindra BE 07 – Powertrain And Pricing
One of the key highlights of the Mahindra electric SUVs is the performance on offer. The BE 6 is quite a fun-to-drive SUV, with amazing power, and we expect the BE 07 to offer a similar driving experience. Moreover, we believe that Mahindra could offer a dual-motor setup and AWD with the BE 07 to be on par with the Tata Harrier.ev in terms of performance. We expect Mahindra to offer 3 battery pack options: a 59kWh battery pack, a 70kWh battery pack and a 79kWh battery pack.
Mahindra could offer a dual-motor setup and AWD with the larger 79kWh battery pack, offering impressive performance as well as off-road capabilities. Along with an additional motor, the BE 07 could become the most powerful Indian SUV, overtaking the Harrier.ev. We expect Mahindra to launch this SUV in 2027 with a price tag ranging from Rs 21.5 lakh to Rs 33 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
