Canada holds second-ever Express Entry draw for senior managers with Canadian work experience

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has issued more invitations to apply (ITA) through the Express Entry system.

The immigration department issued 500 ITAs in a draw for senior managers with Canadian work experience.

To be considered in this draw, candidates needed to have:

A minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 392; and

Created an Express Entry candidate profile before 1:46 a.m.., Universal Coordinated Time (UTC) on March 15, 2026 .

Summary of Express Entry draws in 2026

As of the time of this writing, IRCC has held 38 Express Entry draws in 2026. The July 10 round marked the second time IRCC targeted senior managers with Canadian work experience, but at a much lower CRS threshold than before (392 vs 429)—reflecting a 37-point difference.

So far this year, Express Entry draws have mostly favoured candidates already in Canada, namely those with Canadian work experience or provincial nominations.
