Bajaj Sales Breakup July 2026 – Pulsar Sales Decline 17%

Pulsar remained Bajaj’s bestseller with 66,156 units and a 43.97% share. However, sales declined by 17.12% YoY from 79,817 units. This is likely due to Bajaj upgrading their Pulsar range. They have already launched the new N160, Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150 in the last few days.

Most of this decline came from the smaller-capacity Pulsars. Sales of the 111cc-125cc range fell by 38.01% to 25,604 units, while the 126cc-150cc category declined by 67.09% to 5,554 units. In contrast, larger Pulsars posted strong growth. Sales in the 151cc-200cc category rose by 60.46% to 25,851 units. The 201cc-250cc range improved by 56.63% to 6,832 units, whereas the 251cc-350cc category almost doubled to 2,315 units.

Bajaj has recently launched the new Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150 with fresh engines, TFT connectivity and additional features. These upgrades could help revive volumes in the two categories currently facing the sharpest decline.

Chetak Sales Cross 47,000 Units

Chetak recorded 47,184 units during the month, compared to 11,584 units a year earlier. Sales increased by an impressive 307.32%, adding 35,600 units to Bajaj’s domestic tally. With a 31.36% share, Chetak now accounts for almost one-third of Bajaj’s domestic two-wheeler sales.

It was also the company’s second-largest nameplate in July 2026. Although Chetak’s growth comfortably offset declines elsewhere in the portfolio, it remains behind electric scooter segment leader TVS iQube, which registered 59,386 units during the month.

Platina, Dominar And Freedom

Platina was Bajaj’s third-best-selling nameplate with 27,421 units, down 6.81% YoY. The 75cc-110cc Platina contributed 14,388 units, while the newly listed 111cc-125cc version added 13,033 units. This also confirms that new Platina 125 is on its way as production has started. Bajaj has already confirmed multiple new launches by October this year.

Dominar sales rose by 86.30% to 2,148 units. Its 251cc-350cc category recorded particularly strong growth of 170.09%, reaching 1,707 units. CT sales remained virtually flat at 4,727 units. Freedom CNG motorcycle sales declined by 11.37% to 1,692 units, while Avenger sales fell by 23.71% to 1,120 units.

Bajaj’s July performance shows a significant change in its domestic sales mix. Pulsar remains the company’s backbone, but the rapidly expanding Chetak range has become increasingly important to overall growth. In terms exports, Bajaj remains No 1 two wheeler exporter ahead of TVS Motor, who is fast catching up.
