Bajaj ADV launch in 2026
Speaking to the press, Executive Director of Bajaj Brazil, Waldyr Ferreira, said that the new ADV bike could be introduced in December 2026. Video of the same was shared by Motoobrasil channel. While not revealing an exact date, Waldyr provided a strong clue by saying that customers can expect a great Christmas gift in 2026. India launch can happen before Diwali festive season. The new bike could go on sale in as the ‘Trekker’, a name that has already been trademarked by Bajaj.
Waldyr Ferreira said, (English translation) – “The Bajaj trail motorcycle is in Brazil. I rode the motorcycle last week, and the product is really good. It has very good specifications. I’m not going to confirm an exact date, but customers considering a Bajaj on-road/off-road motorcycle will receive a big Christmas present before the end of 2026.
We already have some units here. Maurílio and Adelino in Manaus are working hard on parts development and homologation. It is coming soon. Photos of the motorcycle will soon start appearing on roads across Brazil. If you see one and are unsure whether it is a Bajaj, take some pictures and send them to me—I’ll give you a hint. The time is approaching. Whether the global launch will take place in Brazil is still under discussion. But even if it does not, Brazil is undoubtedly one of the priority markets for the launch.”
Bajaj ADV bike – Key features, performance
Test mules of Bajaj’s new ADV bike have already been spotted in India. The presence of a saree guard indicates that the bike is planned for launch in India. For the Brazilian market, most Bajaj bikes are exported as CKD units and assembled at a plant in Manaus, Amazonas State. Latin American markets such as Brazil, Colombia and Mexico contribute around 20% to 25% of Bajaj’s total global motorcycle exports.
Bajaj ADV bike has signature ADV features such as a front beak and fork gaiters. For greater suitability across off-road environments, Bajaj’s new ADV bike uses wire spoke wheels. The pairing could be 19-inch at the front and 17-inch at the rear. These are likely wrapped in tube-type tyres.
While the test mules have been heavily camouflaged, an outline of a sculpted fuel tank design is evident. Sharp tank extensions are also noticeable. The bike uses a single piece seat, which is quite long with adequate space for the rider and pillion. Riding stance is fairly comfortable, making the bike suitable for long distance touring. A high mounted exhaust has been used, which is another signature feature associated with ADV bikes.
India Launch By Diwali 2026
Suspension setup of Bajaj’s ADV bike comprises standard telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock unit at the rear. The bike has disc brakes at both ends and could be offered with switchable ABS modes. Ground clearance seems comparable to other similar bikes in this segment.
Details about the engine and related specs have not been revealed. It is possible that Bajaj’s new ADV bike could be using the 250cc air/oil-cooled engine from Pulsar N250. This engine generates 24.5 PS and 21.5 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 5-speed constant mesh transmission. Bajaj could introduce its new ADV bike in India at a starting price of around Rs 2 lakh.
