The Panel confirmed the goal as being Dorgu's, meaning Fernandes officially registered his 21st assist of the season - edging him ahead of the totals of 20 that Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne had set.

As the video below of the goal from different angles shows, Opta, the Premier League's official data partners, determined the ball was on its way into the goal irrespective of whether it hit Verbruggen, and so awarded it to Dorgu.
