He manages AyBe Capital, an investment firm, which has stakes in sectors including technology, media, property and real estate, consumer retail, and health, according to Sky Sports.Bhatia started his career at Morgan Stanley before he diversified into other sectors. The 46-year-old is married to Vanisha Mittal, the daughter of Steel magnate Lakshmi Mittal.Bhatia is not new to football. He first entered the field with the Queens Park Rangers (QPR), another English club, in 2007. He served as the Club’s vice-chairman until 2018, and then became the chairman, BBC reported.It was during his time at the club that QPR also played in the Premier League from 2011 to 2013. They returned for another season in the English top flight in 2014.In July 2026, he stepped down from his position as director of QPR and also transferred his stake to majority owner Ruben Gnanalingam.Liverpool is currently owned by Fenway Sports Group (FSG), the US-based company that also owns the Boston Red Sox baseball team. The club is among the most valuable football teams in the world, with Forbes estimating its value at around $6 billion.Among other clubs, Chelsea is owned by a group led by Todd Boehly, while Crystal Palace has US businessman Woody Johnson as a co-owner. Dan Friedkin owns Everton, and Bill Foley leads the ownership group at Bournemouth.
