Vinfast India has cut the price of its three-row electric MPV, the MPV 7, by Rs. 4.1 lakh. It now costs Rs. 20.39 lakh, ex-showroom, down from the launch price of Rs. 24.49 lakh. The cut comes more than six months after the car went on sale.
Vinfast sells the MPV 7 in a single, fully loaded variant, so the new price applies across the range. Nothing else has changed, and the equipment and mechanicals are the same as before. The MPV 7 uses a 60.1kWh battery pack with a front-mounted electric motor that makes 201bhp and 280Nm. Vinfast claims a 0-100kmph time of under 10 seconds and a top speed of 140kmph. The ARAI-certified range is 517km, and the car supports AC charging at 6.9kW and DC fast charging at 80kW.
At the new price, the MPV 7 sits at the lower end of the three-row electric segment. The Kia Carens Clavis EV costs Rs. 18.04 lakh to Rs. 25 lakh, the MG Hector Tomahawk EV Rs. 20.25 lakh to Rs. 24.25 lakh, and the Mahindra XEV 9S Rs. 20.65 lakh to Rs. 30.15 lakh.
The BYD eMax 7 is priced higher, at Rs. 27.90 lakh to Rs. 29.90 lakh. Because the MPV 7 comes only as a fully equipped model, its price now sits below the top variants of most of these rivals.
