US sanctions four Indian firms, three individuals over $119 million in Iranian petroleum imports

PP Softtech Private Limited and Prakrutees Infra Impex India Private Limited each imported products valued at about $25 million, taking the combined imports attributed to the three companies to roughly $119 million.Portease Partners LLP, an India-based customs broker, was sanctioned for allegedly facilitating several shipments of Iranian petrochemical products into India. China-based Li Na, Tian Jianbai and Zhang Limei were sanctioned for their alleged roles in sourcing equipment, coordinating purchases and handling deliveries for the network.The Treasury also targeted Shenzhen Sweet Ocean Technology Limited and several companies in Hong Kong accused of moving funds or procuring sensitive products for Iranian end-users. China-based Qiu Xingyu and companies linked to him were sanctioned over alleged logistics support for an Iranian firm serving a defence research organisation.Separately, China-based Lilimoon Navigation Inc and Hong Kong-registered Vienna Shipping and Riqueza Group were sanctioned in connection with vessels accused of transporting Iranian petroleum. The Treasury said the Quantum Hope and Voyage Elite had carried millions of barrels of Iranian oil to China in 2026.

Four Chinese individuals sanctioned Li Na Tian Jianbai Zhang Limei Qiu Xingyu

The US has imposed sanctions on four Indian companies and three Indian nationals accused of facilitating imports of Iranian petroleum and petrochemical products, as Washington casts a wider net to severe Tehran’s financial links around the world.The US Treasury said Sadashiva Overseas Limited imported about $69 million worth of Iranian-origin petroleum products between February 2024 and June 2025.This includes supplies from previously sanctioned Bonjoure Commodity FZE. Its designated partners, Indrismiya Asharafmiya Shekh and Harish Ramchandra Rangi, were also placed under sanctions, along with PP Softtech director Prashant Garg.The measures were announced as part of “Operation Economic Outcast”, which the Treasury described as a sustained campaign against Iran and companies, individuals and vessels supporting its economy.The Office of Foreign Assets Control sanctioned nearly 60 entities, individuals and vessels across several jurisdictions and widened potential secondary sanctions to Iran’s digital assets, technology, gold, aviation and shipping sectors.The sanctions also cover at least 20 companies based in mainland China and Hong Kong, as well as four China-based individuals, over alleged involvement in Iran’s sensitive-technology procurement and oil-shipping networks.Among them, Hong Kong-based Sweet Ocean Industrial Limited was accused of helping procure laser optics and other sensitive equipment for Iran’s Malek Ashtar University of Technology. China-based Li Na, Tian Jianbai and Zhang Limei were sanctioned for their alleged roles in sourcing equipment, coordinating purchases and handling deliveries for the network.The Treasury also targeted Shenzhen Sweet Ocean Technology Limited and several companies in Hong Kong accused of moving funds or procuring sensitive products for Iranian end-users.
