UltraTech Cement's board has approved the reappointment of Vivek Agrawal as Whole-time Director and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for a further two-year term, effective January 1, 2027, subject to shareholders' approval.
Agrawal will continue to serve as a Key Managerial Personnel (KMP) under the provisions of the Companies Act, 2013.
A veteran of more than three decades with the Aditya Birla Group, Agrawal joined the cement business in 1993 as a Zonal Manager in the Cement Marketing Division.
Over the years, he has held several leadership positions, including Zonal Head – Grey Cement South, Head of Marketing for Birla White, and Head of the Ready Mix Concrete (RMC) business.
He was appointed CEO of the acquired Star Cement entity in 2010 before taking over as Chief Marketing Officer of UltraTech's cement business in October 2013.

The decision was taken at the company's board meeting held on Monday following the recommendation of the Nomination, Remuneration and Compensation Committee. Agrawal will continue to serve as a Key Managerial Personnel (KMP) under the provisions of the Companies Act, 2013.

An engineering graduate from NIT Allahabad, Agrawal holds an MBA from FMS Delhi and has completed the Advanced Management Program (AMP) at Wharton Business School. His new term will run until December 31, 2028.
