The Scrambler 400 X is dearer by Rs. 6,000, pushing its ex-showroom price from Rs. 2.59 lakh to Rs. 2.65 lakh. Meanwhile, the Scrambler 400 XC will set you back by an additional Rs. 5,000 over the old price, and it now stands at Rs. 2.99 lakh.
Triumph hasn’t released any official communication about the reasons behind the price hike, and we shall update this story as and when we get this information.
What is notable, however, is that bikes like the 350cc Scrambler 400 XC now cost more than the 398cc bike when it was launched at Rs. 2.94 lakh, ex-showroom.
This will make potential owners of the 350cc bikes feel a little disappointed considering they are now expected to pay more for a bike that doesn’t have the same performance as the 398cc bikes.
Nevertheless, the Triumph Scrambler 400 X and the Scrambler 400 XC continue to be among the most well-made motorcycles in the segment. Both bikes are powered by a 349cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that makes 36.49bhp at 8,500rpm and 32Nm at 7,000rpm. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox.
