Bajaj Auto and Triumph Motorcycles duo has been working on a new 350cc 400 class motorcycle. To be called Bonneville 400, this upcoming motorcycle will be manufactured by Bajaj Auto at their Pune facility and has been spied testing multiple times. It will directly take on Royal Enfield Classic 350 along with Honda CB350.

Triumph Bonneville 400 Spied
The 350cc retro classic motorcycle buyers usually make purchasing decisions based on their heart and not their head. Desirability plays key role here and upcoming Triumph Bonneville 400 is aiming to address that. For starters, it does not look similar to Speed 400 or Speed T4, which can be termed more like a neo retro, than being classic.
Bonneville 400 has classic design and seems to have classic proportions too. So, upcoming Bonneville 400 might be slightly larger than Speed 400 duo. A wider teardrop fuel tank, wider classic-style handlebar, wider and well-cushioned seat, bench-like seating, a straight pea-shooter single-sided exhaust and other elements are expected.
An all new rear subframe for the Bonnie is flatter than Speed’s and then it is suspended on a twin-shock rear suspension setup. A simpler swingarm is expected as well. Other notable cycle parts include an RSU telescopic front fork setup with fork gaiters and wire-spoke alloy wheels, which seems to be finished in Black.
What to expect?
Classic style front and rear fenders along with circular LED headlights establish its retro and classic design aesthetics. These headlights will be LEDs and might be shared with other Triumph 400s in the portfolio. Turn indicators are circular too and could be LEDs, while the LED tail light looks like it is an oval shaped unit.
A circular instrument cluster can be seen in previous spy shots and it is unique to the Bonnie. We hope it is a fully analog unit to match the retro aesthetics of this motorcycle. Previous spy shots have confirmed that there might be multiple variants of this machine and top variants might offer chrome exhaust, chrome engine casing, chrome grab rail and more.
The same 350cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine will do duties as other Triumph 400s. It is not yet confirmed whether the engine tune will be similar to Speed T4’s, Speed 400’s or Thruxton 400’s. Launch is expected to happen in second half of 2026.
