Trisha's fans have reacted to the "double meaning" comment made by Stalin.

Trisha Krishnan’s post on choosing to be unbothered has gone viral after DMK leader and Tamil Nadu Leader of Opposition, Udhayanidhi Stalin, allegedly made a “double meaning" remark about her at a public rally. Although Trisha had posted the photo before the controversy, social media users have recently taken to the comments section to express their takes.

Trisha captioned the post, “It’s a choice to be unbothered. Choose it🤎 P.S-Smile😉." While the post was made a week ago, it has gone viral now after Udhayanidhi Stalin’s comments at a protest over the Cauvery water dispute in Thanjavur. Have a look at the post here:

One person wrote in the comments, “So much respect for Thalapathy! A brave leader who always stands up for truth and dignity. Stay strong, Trisha!" Someone else wrote, “Women deserve dignity and respect. More power to you." Another comment read, “Go and file a case against Udhay for speaking bad things about you."

Another comment read, “Stalin," with a cockroach and a slipper emoji. Someone else wrote, “My algorithm doomed." A comment read, “Insta suggest this post after Jr Stalin arrest," with laughing emojis. Someone wrote, “Most powerful lady in Tamil Nadu." A comment read, “When you are a CM bestie."

A comment read, “All the men abusing a woman in her personal space, ‘Let he who hath no sin on him cast the first stone.’ Trisha did nothing wrong. If you can’t question the ‘man’ who wronged two women, you can shut the hell up." Someone else wrote, “Not a word against you, Trisha ji."

What Did Udhayanidhi Stalin Say About Trisha Krishnan?

Udhayanidhi Stalin was addressing a gathering when he criticised Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay. As the crowd reportedly began chanting Trisha’s name, Udhayanidhi responded with a remark in Tamil that roughly translates to: “Wherever water comes, whether it comes or not, water should come there."

However, he immediately clarified that he was referring to the Cauvery water. The timing of the remark, immediately after the crowd chanted Trisha’s name, led to accusations that it carried a vulgar or sexual innuendo. Vijay’s TVK approached the National Commission for Women and also filed a police complaint against the DMK leader.
