Toyota has launched the 2026 Fortuner Leader Edition at a starting price of Rs. 36.51 lakh, ex-showroom.
Inside, the seats are finished in dual-tone black and maroon upholstery with matching door trims, and it also gets ambient lighting and illuminated scuff plates. Auto-folding ORVMs and a tyre pressure monitoring system complete the equipment list. Ambient lighting is the only notable addition over the 2025 Leader Edition, which shared most of these features. Unlike the 2024 and 2025 editions, which were dealer-level offerings, this one has been introduced by Toyota itself.
On the outside, the Leader Edition gets a different front grille design, a black roof treatment, black rear door garnish, body side mouldings and an exclusive hood emblem. The alloy wheels are finished in gloss black with matching hub caps, and even the antenna is black. It is offered in Super White, Platinum White Pearl, and Attitude Black, with the Silver Metallic shade of the older editions no longer on the list.
The Fortuner Leader Edition is priced at Rs. 36.51 lakh for the 4x2 manual and Rs. 38.72 lakh for the 4x2 automatic (both ex-showroom), a gap of Rs. 2.21 lakh between the two. The bookings will open on 12 October.
There are no mechanical changes. The Fortuner continues with its 2.8-litre four-cylinder diesel engine, which makes 201hp and 500Nm with the six-speed automatic and 420Nm with the six-speed manual. Four-wheel drive is not offered on this edition.
