Saint Lucia Kings Preview
St Lucia Kings have had a bang on average campaign so far in the Caribbean Premier League 2026, securing three wins and suffering three defeats from their first six matches. They have shown the ability to win tight contests and face an uphill task against the defending champions.
They currently sit 2nd in the points table but have played joint most games. It's been a win-loss win-loss kind of situation for the Kings. However, they are coming into this game on the back of an important win against the Jamaica Kingsmen.
Their batting has been led by Kamil Pooran. The 30-year-old opener is making his debut in the CPL and has scored 168 runs from four innings at a strike rate of 178.72 and has been the standout performer with consistent contributions. He scored 81 unbeaten to help his team to victory in the last match.
USA international Andries Gous has added 113 runs from four innings, providing solidity at the top, while Ackeem Auguste has contributed 100 runs from five innings. Roston Chase (77), Jewel Andrew (66) and Matthew Forde (66) have also played important supporting roles in the middle order.
But despite scoring lots of runs, players have mostly struggled with inconsistency. Except for Kamil Pooran, most of the batters have had that one particularly great game but can't maintain the same level of performance in the following matches.
The bowling attack has been particularly effective. Matthew Forde is the leading wicket-taker in the tournament with 12 wickets from six matches, consistently delivering breakthroughs. He was particularly in great form in the last match, taking 5-fer. Earlier in the campaign, he also registered a 4-fer against Antigua and Barbuda Falcons.
Spin bowling trio of Roston Chase, Maheesh Theekshana and Joshua Bishop have kept things tight. The former two have each claimed 7 wickets, offering control and variations, while Joshua Bishop has taken 6 wickets and added further depth to the attack. Shadley van Schalkwyk, the USA international, has claimed 3 wickets.
Saint Lucia Kings Predicted Playing XI:
Tim Seifert (WK), Kamil Pooran, John Campbell, Johann Jeremiah, Roston Chase (C), Obus Pienaar, Matthew Forde, Amari Goodridge, Shadley van Schalkwyk, Joshua Bishop, Maheesh Theekshana.

TKR vs SLK Pitch Report
The pitch typically offers good pace and bounce early on, giving seamers some assistance with the new ball. As the match progresses, the surface slows and provides grip for spinners. Dew can be a factor in evening matches, often favouring the chasing side. The first innings average score at the venue is 145.
Toss: To Bowl
The captain who win the toss would want to bowl first. Due to potential dew in the 2nd inning, and the fact that in CPL 2025, out of 5 matches, four games were won by the chasing side.
