Titan flags off ‘Made in India: A Titan Story’ at special event for group leaders and partners

Mumbai: Titan Company Ltd. Recently hosted a special screening of the web series ‘Made in India: The Titan Story’ for Tata Group leaders, partners and employees, ahead of the show’s release on Amazon Prime Video and Amazon MX Player on June 3. Based on the book ‘Titan: Inside India’s Most Successful Consumer Brand’ by author Vinay Kamath, the series presents the journey of Titan highlighting the roles played by the legendary JRD Tata and Xerxes Desai.

The special screening of ‘Made In India: The Titan Story’ was hosted by Noel Tata, Chairman, Tata Trusts, and Ajoy Chawla, MD, Titan Company Ltd. at the Tata Theatre, National Centre for Performing Arts in Mumbai. It was attended by C.K. Venkataraman, former MD of Titan, Arun Narayan, CEO of the Jewellery Division at Titan Company Ltd and other company officials. The evening celebrated the company’s incredible story, and the people who brought it to life on screen.

Actor Naseeruddin Shah plays JRD Tata, while Jim Sarbh portrays Xerxes Desai in the series that traces the formation of the company and its growth within the consumer sector. The narrative focuses on decisions, ideas and execution that shaped the business over time. It presents the link between leadership and development of the company.

The event in Mumbai brought together stakeholders from within the Tata Group as well as partners associated with Titan. The screening marked the move of the story from print to screen, even as the company stepped up to present its history to a wider audience.
