A speeding car fell from the Coastal Road in Mumbai early on Sunday (September 20, 2026), resulting in the death of three students and injuring another student.
The car was moving north from Marine Drive, when the driver lost control owing to high speed.
The BMW struck the outer wall of the Coastal Road before the fall about 75 feet.
Meena Jagtap, Senior Inspector at the Tardeo police station said, “It appears that the car was travelling at a very high speed.

The police stated that the incident took place at around 5 a.m. The car was moving north from Marine Drive, when the driver lost control owing to high speed. The BMW struck the outer wall of the Coastal Road before the fall about 75 feet.
The police has identified the dead as Sanay Gujjar (21), Aditya Jakasania (19), and Dhairya Sheth (17). Gujjar was reportedly at the wheel. The injured student has been identified as Aditya Oswal (23). He is receiving treatment at the Nair Hospital, and his condition is said to be critical.

Gujjar, Oswal and Sheth were studying BBA at a management college in Vile Parle. Gujjar was from Ahmedabad. He had been staying in Mumbai as a paying guest. The BMW belonged to Gujjar’s family.
