Tata Tigor Facelift Design Patent Leaked: Launch Likely Soon

The updated sub-four-metre sedan is expected to follow suit with respect to updates that the Tiago facelift recently received. Elsewhere, the model is likely to feature a redesigned rear bumper, tweaked elements for the LED taillights, and a high-mounted LED brake light. Under the hood, the 2026 Tata Tigor is expected to be available with the same 1.2-litre NA petrol and CNG versions, paired with manual and AMT units. The update to the Tigor is expected to debut short on the heels of the refreshed Tiago’s launch, as has been the case more often than not. Further, these updates will also trickle down to the Tigor EV, with a launch likely to coincide with the ICE derivative’s price reveal.

Expected to borrow the feature list from the recently updated Tiago facelift

Refresh for EV version too likely

Tata Motors has registered a patent for the 2026 Tigor, details of which have now been leaked ahead of its anticipated launch in the coming weeks. The updated sub-four-metre sedan is expected to follow suit with respect to updates that the Tiago facelift recently received.

As seen in the image here, the new Tata Tigor facelift will get a fresh grille (likely with a black finish), sleeker headlamps with LED lighting, fresh front bumper with a new air dam, new design for the alloy wheels, a cutout for the front camera on the bumper, and blind spot cameras on the ORVMs.

Elsewhere, the model is likely to feature a redesigned rear bumper, tweaked elements for the LED taillights, and a high-mounted LED brake light. Also up for offer will be a reworked colour palette. Inside, the facelifted Tigor is expected to boast a 360-degree camera, larger touchscreen infotainment system, freestanding driver’s display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charger, auto-folding ORVMs, new gear selector for the AMT versions, and Type-C charging ports.

Under the hood, the 2026 Tata Tigor is expected to be available with the same 1.2-litre NA petrol and CNG versions, paired with manual and AMT units. Further, the automatic versions could get a segment-first feature of paddle shifters.

The update to the Tigor is expected to debut short on the heels of the refreshed Tiago’s launch, as has been the case more often than not. It is set to revive the sales, which have seen a downward trend not just for this model alone, but for the segment as a whole. With the prices of cars rising at an alarming rate, and customers queueing up to join the SUV bandwagon, it only makes sense for Tata to bring in this refresh for the Tigor. Further, these updates will also trickle down to the Tigor EV, with a launch likely to coincide with the ICE derivative’s price reveal.
