The NEET-PG 2026 examination was conducted nationwide on Sunday, August 30, with over 2.65 lakh candidates appearing at examination centres across the country.

However, the exam day was marred by technical disruptions at centres in Sitapura, Jaipur, where candidates protested and alleged repeated system failures during the examination.

Candidates at the affected centres alleged that the technical problems repeatedly disrupted the test, making it difficult for them to complete the examination under normal conditions. Frustrated by the disruptions, several candidates took to the streets and demanded that the examination be conducted again.

Candidates Allege Repeated System Failures

Candidate Vishnu Sharma alleged that the examination systems crashed at least 20 times during the test. He claimed that the repeated breakdowns created confusion among candidates and affected the examination environment at the centre.

Sharma further alleged that during the system disruptions, students were able to openly discuss questions among themselves. He demanded that the NEET-PG 2026 examination be cancelled and conducted again nationwide, arguing that candidates should be given a fair and equal opportunity to appear for the test.

Protest Erupts At Sitapura Centre

Candidates protested outside the examination centre in Sitapura as frustration over the alleged technical disruptions grew.

The protest has brought renewed attention to the challenges faced by candidates during high-stakes examinations, with students questioning the arrangements at centres where technical problems were reported.

The development comes despite extensive security, technological and monitoring arrangements put in place for the nationwide examination.

2,445 Candidates Affected At Jaipur Centres

According to the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), an unforeseen technical disruption occurred at the iON Digital Zone iDZ Sitapura Centres in Jaipur, Rajasthan (TC Nos. 41682 and 41683).

The examination could not be completed for 2,445 candidates due to internal power supply issues at the test centres, which NBEMS attributed to M/s TCS Ltd., the examination conducting agency.

NBEMS expressed regret over the inconvenience caused to the affected candidates.

Re-Exam Scheduled For September 5

To ensure that the affected candidates receive a fair and equitable opportunity to appear for NEET-PG 2026, the examination for all 2,445 candidates has been scheduled again.

The re-examination will be held on September 5, 2026 (Saturday), at 3 PM in Jaipur, Rajasthan.

The NEET-PG 2026 examination was scheduled for 2,73,096 candidates across 1,111 examination centres in 339 cities, covering all 36 States and Union Territories. A total of 2,65,980 candidates appeared, with approximately 2,63,535 candidates successfully completing the examination.

The Jaipur disruption, meanwhile, has led to protests from affected candidates, who are demanding a nationwide re-examination over the alleged repeated technical failures.
