A bench of Justices Dipankar Datta and Sheel Nagu issued notice to the Delhi High Court on Pahuja's appeal against the High Court verdict, and directed that he be released from jail.
This was after Pahuja's counsel pointed out that his client has already undergone 48 days imprisonment.
Petitioner shall be released," the Court ordered.
Pahuja's counsel submitted that Pahuja has only been raising his voice against the ills plaguing the judicial system.
You have already been granted suspension of sentence," the Court replied.
