It’s a packed weekend for video game announcements, and Summer Game Fest is the big showcase happening later today (June 5). In fact, the SGF event as a whole has special showcases running between June 1 and June 8. We already got to see PlayStation’s State of Play on Tuesday, and Xbox fans will get to enjoy something similar in the Xbox Games Showcase on Sunday.
In any case, let’s shift our focus back to the main Summer Game Fest stream today. It’s hosted by Geoff Keighley and Lucy James, is taking place in the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, and viewers are promised a lengthy two-hour event to enjoy. There will be plenty of game announcements, updates, and surprise special guests in store, all kicking off at 2 PM Pacific Time.

When will Summer Game Fest start today? The livestreamed event will begin at 2 PM local time. However, you’ll need to convert that into a different time zone if you’re located elsewhere in the world. We’ve put together a list of various regions to help you out. Where to watch Summer Game Fest 2026 – and what to expect
Viewers will be able to tune into this year’s Summer Game Fest either on YouTube or Twitch, via thegameawards channels – another event organized and hosted by Geoff Keighley. We expect the VOD to be saved as soon as the event is over.
As for what to expect, much of the event is secretive, so it’s impossible to know everything to be revealed outside of leaks. At the very least, World Premieres are confirmed, alongside dev showcases. One thing that has been confirmed is the first gameplay footage of Star Wars Zero Company, an upcoming turn-based tactics title. Other expected and speculated appearances include:
Guild Wars 3 or another title within the GW universe
Clutch, a racing game from ex-Forza devs that was officially revealed a couple of days ago
Blood Message, a single-player experience from NetEase
Among Us… 2? We don’t know – either way, the devs posted on X to say “some very special things” are coming
Persona 6 may get a mention, after character designs and background art leaked online recently
