The Indian stock market will remain open on August 28, with no trading holiday scheduled for Friday despite Raksha Bandhan celebrations in several parts of the country.Both the BSE and NSE will operate as usual, with trading, clearing and settlement activities continuing normally. The festival celebrates the bond shared between brothers and sisters.On this occasion, sisters tie the sacred thread, Rakhi, around their brothers’ wrists and pray for their health, happiness and prosperity. Brothers, in turn, promise to stand by and protect their sisters through the different challenges and stages of life.According to Drik Panchang, Raksha Bandhan 2026 will be celebrated on Friday.
