Sreeleela advocated reinterpreting the traditional saree by showcasing a piece by designer Gopi Vaid.
The ivory-beige drape from the designer’s ‘Chaar Bagh’ collection came with floral patterns embellished with gota patti and striking multicolour borders.
Decked with floral patterns in muted shades of brown and silver, the saree had sequin-like embellishments on the fabric.
On the other hand, the spacious pallu and beautiful hemline had bright borders with zig-zags and geometric lines in multiple colours.
But the most interesting part had to be the borders of the pallu, which came with interesting designs, adding a bold touch in the contrast between the shades.
