New MG 7-Seater Coming To India: Fully Revealed
MG has already brought in several rebadged Wuling models in India. We have seen the Windsor and the Comet. Just like those, this new 7-seater will also be a rebadged model, which is sold in the international market as the Wuling Starlight 560.
Ahead of its launch, this upcoming 7-seater has been showcased at the Indonesian Auto Expo. The same model with an MG tag will be brought to India. Now, some sources suggest that this model could be launched by next month; it could be priced between Rs. 25 lakh – Rs. 35 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

What’s Revealed?
One of the key highlights of this model will be the inclusion of plug-in hybrid tech. For starters, plug-in hybrid tech has the best of two worlds: petrol and EV, to deliver good efficiency. Now, the Starlight 560-based SUV will be the torchbearer, introducing this new tech in this segment.

In the international market, the SUV is powered by a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine paired with a 20.5kWh battery pack, delivering a combined fuel efficiency of nearly 1000+km (claimed). While the figure looks big, in Indian conditions we can expect it to deliver a mileage of nearly 20-25 km/l. So, if you want a 7-seater SUV, and that too with good mileage, this can be one of the options to look at.
