In a conversation with Hauterrfly, Niti, who also participated in Alliance and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10, recalled how the director of her debut Telugu film approached her for another project. What began as a professional conversation took an unsettling turn when he allegedly made it clear that working with him again would come at a personal cost. Niti said she was caught off guard by the proposition and struggled to process what had just happened.

"The director who did the first film with me called me for another movie when we were done with it. Then he said, 'but you will have to sleep with me for it this time'. You do not realise, you do not know how to react. I just cut the call, I blocked his number, I called up my mom, and I’m like, imagine that buddha, old man," she said.
The 31-year-old said her immediate response was to end the call, block the director and turn to her mother. The experience, she suggested, left her stunned rather than ready to confront the person who had made the proposition. She also indicated that she had seen him around other female actors but had never anticipated that he would approach her in the same way.
"I saw him with other chicks and stuff like that. I never knew when he would try this with me. That's when I decided I would never do any movies ever again. I was just taken aback, and I only blocked him. I did not tell this to anyone because I was zapped. You just come like" Niti explained.
She did not identify the director in the interview.
Niti made her Telugu film debut in 2012 with Mem Vayasuku Vacham, directed by Trinadha Rao Nakkina and featuring Tanish in the lead role. Produced by Bekkam Venugopal, the film performed well commercially.
She followed it with Pelli Pustakam in 2013. Directed by Ramakrishna Machakanti, the film starred Rahul Ravindran and failed to make an impact at the box office, receiving a poor response from critics as well.
Her third and final Telugu film was Love Dot Com, released in 2014 and directed by Raja Vannem Reddy. Written and produced by CHV Brinda Reddy, it featured Aarya Sandeep alongside Niti. The film, too, failed commercially.
Although Niti continued to build her career in television, she did not return to the big screen after these three Telugu projects. Her recent account offers a glimpse into one of the reasons behind that decision, with the actor describing an experience that left her unwilling to take another chance on the film industry.
