Skoda Superb Launch Timeline
Skoda has been quite proactive, launching new cars and updating its existing models. According to industry sources, the Skoda Superb will be launched in India in the first half of 2027. At the Skoda Experience 2026 event, the Czech carmaker had given us a glimpse of its plan for the calendar year, and it looked quite eventful.
One of the highlights of Skoda’s 2026 plans was the launch of the Skoda Superb, which was supposed to return to the Indian market by the end of 2026. However, it is now clear that the plans to launch the Superb have been delayed and moved to the first half of 2027. Skoda is expected to bring in the Superb through the CBU route in limited units. That said, what can we expect to see in the new Skoda Superb?

What To Expect?
Being Skoda’s flagship sedan, the Superb will offer a plethora of features and tech along with a luxurious and comfortable cabin. We expect the Superb to offer a slew of features like a Level-2 ADAS suite, a 360-degree camera, a 13-inch infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, a 15-speaker Canton sound system, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated and powered front seats with a massaging function, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, a wireless charger, and much more. One of the highlights of this launch is the Superb’s powertrain: a diesel engine. This is one of the most fuel-efficient diesels, and the Superb has also achieved a tested fuel efficiency of 40 km/l.

Much like the model sold in international markets, we can expect a 2.0-litre diesel engine in two states of tune: 148 bhp & 360 Nm of torque with FWD, or 190 bhp & 400 Nm of torque with AWD. Considering it will be a CBU unit, we expect the Superb to be priced between Rs. 65 lakh and Rs. 70 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). What’s worth noting is that this price could be lower at the time of launch, considering that the India-EU FTA is currently in effect.
