Produces 60bhp more than the standard Kodiaq
After showcasing the new Kodiaq RS earlier this year, Skoda Auto India has a fresh development related to the model. The company is all set to commence pre-bookings of this sportier Kodiaq on 22 June.
The new Skoda Kodiaq RS will be powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, TSI petrol engine paired with a seven-speed DCT transmission. The power output for this model will stand at 261bhp and 400Nm, with a claimed 0-100kmph sprint in 6.3 seconds. Notably, this iteration pumps out 61bhp and 80Nm more than the regular Kodiaq that is currently on sale in India.
Key exterior highlights of the 2026 Kodiaq RS will include LED matrix headlamps, red brake calipers, 20-inch alloy wheels, and a gloss black finish for multiple elements all around. Inside, the three-row SUV is expected to come equipped with an all-black theme, contrast red stitching and inserts, ventilated front seats, vRS welcome logo, and a 13-inch infotainment screen.
Skoda has not revealed how many units of the Kodiaq RS it plans to bring to India. Considering that its sibling, the Octavia RS, had a limited run of 100 units, it would be fair to expect a similar number for the SUV. Apart from the Kodiaq RS, Skoda is also likely to launch the Slavia facelift in India later this year.
