More aggressive front-end, chunky cladding and distinctive orange accents
The recently unveiled Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler has taken the Scorpio nameplate into an entirely new direction. While the pickup is based on the same family of design cues as the Scorpio N, its styling is significantly more aggressive and rugged. This raises an interesting question — what could the next-generation Scorpio N look like if Mahindra carried some of these design elements over to the SUV?
Our latest render explores exactly that possibility. The render retains the basic proportions and upright silhouette of the current Scorpio N, while incorporating several styling elements inspired by the Scorpio Lifestyler. It is purely a design exercise and does not represent an upcoming Mahindra product.
A Tougher Front-end
The front-end gets the most noticeable changes. The familiar Scorpio N silhouette is combined with a larger, more prominent grille inspired by the Lifestyler. Finished in gloss black, the grille gives the SUV a wider and more imposing appearance.
The headlamps retain the overall shape of the Scorpio N but are surrounded by tougher-looking detailing. Orange inserts above the headlamps add a distinctive contrast and are among the key elements borrowed from the Lifestyler.
The result is a more aggressive interpretation of the Scorpio N without moving away from its recognisable design.
Chunkier Side Profile
The side profile continues to follow the Scorpio N’s familiar proportions, but several details have been reworked.
The prominent black wheel-arch cladding, orange inserts, black lower-body treatment and side steps are inspired by the Scorpio Lifestyler. Larger-looking alloy wheels and the heavily cladded lower sections further enhance the SUV’s rugged stance.
Importantly, the render does not simply transplant the pickup’s styling onto the SUV. The Lifestyler’s proportions are considerably different, so its design elements have been adapted to suit the Scorpio N’s three-row SUV body style.
A More Rugged Rear
The rear retains the Scorpio N’s upright tailgate and vertical tail-lamp layout, but gets a substantially more rugged bumper.
Chunky black elements and contrasting inserts give the lower section a more utilitarian appearance, while the tailgate features prominent SCORPIO N lettering.
The treatment gives the rear a stronger connection to the Lifestyler while keeping the Scorpio N’s core identity intact.
Could This Influence the Next Scorpio N?
The Scorpio Lifestyler demonstrates how Mahindra can evolve the Scorpio design language while retaining its core characteristics. Its aggressive grille, pronounced cladding, orange accents and rugged detailing could potentially find their way onto future Scorpio-family products in some form.
For the next-generation Scorpio N, however, the challenge will be balancing this tougher styling with the SUV’s more premium positioning.
A clean-sheet Scorpio N could benefit from some of the Lifestyler’s visual aggression, particularly at the front and rear. The key would be to adapt these elements rather than directly carry them over.
For now, there is no confirmation that Mahindra is developing a Scorpio N with this design. But as a visualisation of how the next-generation SUV could evolve, this render shows that the Scorpio Lifestyler could provide an interesting design direction for the Scorpio family.
