Samsung TV Plus India has expanded its free streaming service to 200 channels, adding two new channels — Aashirwad TV and Thalaivar Hits — through a partnership with NH Studioz, the company said.
The company added that Samsung TV Plus has been named CTV Platform of the Year at the BCS Ratna Awards.
Globally, Samsung TV Plus has more than 100 million monthly active users, the company said.

The new channels bring mythological programming and Tamil cinema to the platform, which is pre-installed on Samsung Smart TVs and does not require a subscription.
Aashirwad TV carries Hindi-language mythological content, including Ramayana, Shree Ganesha and Om Namah Shivaay. Thalaivar Hits is a Tamil movie channel featuring films starring Rajinikanth, known as "Thalaivar", and Kamal Hasan, including Kai Kodukkum and Thambikku Entha Ooru.
Samsung said its total channel count in India has grown from more than 50 to 200. The company added that Samsung TV Plus has been named CTV Platform of the Year at the BCS Ratna Awards.
Globally, Samsung TV Plus has more than 100 million monthly active users, the company said. In India, the platform spans entertainment, movies, news, sports and regional-language content.
