Samsung has started selling its latest foldable smartphones and smartwatches in India, following the launch of its eighth-generation Galaxy Z series.
The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8, along with the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9, are now available through retail outlets and Samsung’s online store, as well as Amazon and Flipkart.
At 201g, it is the lightest Galaxy Z Fold model Samsung has made.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra2 is aimed at outdoor and fitness users, adding tracking features for activities including trail running and diving.
The Galaxy Z Fold8 starts at Rs 1,79,999 for 12GB/256GB and goes up to Rs 2,39,999 for the 16GB/1TB model.

The company said it received 271,000 pre-orders for the three foldable phones within 72 hours of their launch, pointing to continued interest in foldable devices in the Indian market.
The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra sits at the top of the new foldable range, with an 8-inch main display and a thickness of 4.1mm when unfolded. It features a 200MP primary camera with HDR and a new 50MP ultra-wide camera, with Samsung also adding improvements to its Nightography system. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy platform and packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging.
The standard Galaxy Z Fold8 takes a different approach, with a focus on reducing the size and weight of the foldable. At 201g, it is the lightest Galaxy Z Fold model Samsung has made. It has a 4,800mAh battery and uses a new Flex Titanium display structure intended to improve durability while making the crease less noticeable. The main screen can reach a peak brightness of 3,000 nits.
The Fold8 has two 50MP cameras and features such as Dual Recording and My FanCam for video capture and editing. Its 10:16 cover display is aimed at everyday tasks such as messaging, browsing and watching short videos, while the unfolded 4:3 screen offers more usable space for gaming and films.
The Galaxy Z Flip8 is also slimmer and lighter than its predecessors, measuring 6.1mm thick and weighing 180g. It has a 50MP camera supported by Samsung’s ProVisual Engine, along with features including Flex Mode, Super Steady with Horizon Lock, FlipShot and Cover Screen Mirror for hands-free photography and video.
Samsung has also brought two new smartwatches to India. The Galaxy Watch Ultra2 is aimed at outdoor and fitness users, adding tracking features for activities including trail running and diving. Its Trail Run function tracks elevation, climbing progress and the effect of terrain, while Nutrition Alert works alongside the existing Sweat Loss feature to estimate hydration requirements.
The Ultra2 has an 800mAh battery, a display capable of reaching 5,000 nits and a titanium construction designed to withstand impacts. It also uses Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon Elite platform and comes with redesigned bands intended to make extended wear more comfortable.

The Galaxy Watch9 is positioned as a more conventional everyday smartwatch. It retains Samsung’s cushion-shaped design and uses an aluminium case, with 40mm and 44mm versions available. The two sizes have 390mAh and 445mAh batteries respectively, while the display can reach 3,000 nits of brightness.
In terms of pricing, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra starts at Rs 1,99,999 for the 12GB/256GB version, while the 12GB/512GB and 16GB/1TB variants cost Rs 2,19,999 and Rs 2,59,999 respectively. The Galaxy Z Fold8 starts at Rs 1,79,999 for 12GB/256GB and goes up to Rs 2,39,999 for the 16GB/1TB model. The Galaxy Z Flip8 starts at Rs 1,24,999 for 12GB/256GB, with the 12GB/512GB version priced at Rs 1,44,999. The Galaxy Watch Ultra2 costs Rs 64,999, while the Galaxy Watch9 starts at Rs 37,999 for the 40mm Bluetooth version and Rs 40,999 for the 44mm Bluetooth model.
Samsung is also offering launch benefits on the new devices. Depending on the model and payment method, buyers of the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra can get benefits worth up to Rs 8,000 through an upgrade offer or up to Rs 7,000 through bank cashback, while the corresponding benefits on the Fold8 are up to Rs 8,000 and Rs 7,000. The Flip8 comes with upgrade benefits of up to Rs 5,000 or bank cashback of up to Rs 4,000. Buyers can also opt for EMI-based offers. For the watches, Samsung lists multibuy benefits of up to Rs 9,500 on the Watch Ultra2 and up to Rs 6,500 on the Watch9, alongside bank cashback options and EMI plans of up to 24 months with no down payment.
